I have still been primarily enjoying watching League of Legends rather than playing – seeing the coverage with the casters and analysts making it very much like watching other sports which is fun. I did play a few bot games trying out top laners like Cho’Gath and Aatrox – I like the idea of being kinda tanky.

Anyhoo, this post was actually to point to two sets of amazing artwork. The first is the nice concept art that RIOT put up relating to their design work on the new Summoner’s Rift. You can see iterations of the creatures and how they evolved to what we see in game now. The notes/comments reveal a little more of the process as well.

The other stunning set of art comes to us thanks to the Polycount Riot Games Art Contest. The winners show off some wonderful community talent in a variety of media, 2D, 3D and such. SOme of the work looks completely ready for the game or brings out another side of something already in play or reveals a new or interesting take on one of the zany champions.
