The latest version of the free CryEngine 3.4 was released by Crytek in mid April and sports a suite of enhancements that make it even more attractive as a development platform, both graphically and programatically.
We get a suite of DX11 upgrades – will have to look for all of these in-game, the forest level already looked so good and probably looks even better now if I brought up both at once, it certainly looks beautiful. I am looking forward to seeing/trying the reflections and smoothing etc live on my machine. The quality of the character rigging and rendering (skin etc) is wonderful, hard to remember sometimes that this is all happening in real-time.
